New kid on the block rapper L-Tido is making a mark beyond the Mzansi borders and says this is just the beginning of greater things to come.
This lad has been chosen as one of the few acts from three countries to write and perform a title track for MTV’s series Shuga: Love, Sex, Money.
Currently in the second season, Shuga is about the culture of the sex and relationships amongst the youth and promotes healthy sexual behaviours among African youth.
Talking exclusively to DRUM, L-Tido who will be working with stars including Nigerian artists Banky W and WizKid and Bonie from P-Unit (Kenya), said working with these artists is “beautiful.”
He also adds that the getting together of African artists has taught him a lot. “I have learnt about different cultures which broadens my mind.”
L-Tido admits that he has also realised that some issues that the youth face are universal.
“We are facing the same issues of alcohol abuse and sex as the youth regardless of the country you reside.”
The track will be available for download free of charge on the Shuga website (www.shugatv.com).
