MTV and DRUM are on the lookout for one lucky reader to accompany Theo Nyaba, DRUM lifestyle journalist, to this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards in Frankfurt, Germany, on 11 November.

Every year MTV celebrates the best in European music and this year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever before. The awards will be hosted by celebrity and supermodel Heidi Klum. And the nominees list is as impressive as ever.

Africa’s D’Banj has been named Best African Act for the #MTVEMA, which puts him in line for the Worldwide Act category this year. To vote for him go to mtvbase.com. Also look out for Rihanna who has six nominations, Taylor Swift who has five, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more.

Interested in rubbing shoulders with the music industry’s elite and watching the EMAs live? Then enter the DRUM MTV competition by 26 October 2012 and you could win an all-expenses-paid trip to the MTV EMA.

Terms and conditions – MTV EMA 2012 Competition

1. The “MTV EMA 2012” competition will be open from 8 am on 19 October 2012 and will close at 12noon on 26 October 2012.
2. The selection of the winner is final.
3. The winner must be over the age of 18 and have a valid South African passport.
4. At the end of the competition, one (1) winner will be chosen by random draw.
5. The following prize will be awarded:
   • 1 ticket to the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards in Frankfurt, Germany
6. The prize includes: 1 x economy-class ticket from Johannesburg to Frankfurt, Germany, departing 9 November 2012 and returning 12 November 2012, 2 nights’ accommodation in 1 x single room, Breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, Visa costs for one person, Transfers from/to airport, Per diem: $85 per person adn EMA access ticket for one person.
7. The prize excludes: All drinks, personal expenses (eg laundry), access to media room, backstage, after-party.The winner must be willing to have his or her name and photographs published.

8. The winner will be notified on 27 October 2012.
9. The prize is not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
10. If a winner declines the prize or is disqualified, another winner will be chosen until the prize is awarded and accepted.
11. If a winner’s visa is declined, MTV Africa and DRUM will not be held responsible for delivery of the prize or convert the prize to a cash value.
