When such a famous Zulu celeb marries, one expects a crowded, full-on pageant with a troupe of dancers, umgangela (stick fighting), jovial warriors feeding on amadumbe (a root vegetable) and the whole nine yards.

But surprisingly the bride and groom chose to celebrate their union with a small, intimate ceremony witnessed by close family and friends. But this after all is only the first round of celebrations.

“We decided on a low-key ceremony,” explains the publicity-shy, gorgeous actress Leleti Khumalo (42). “Just family and close friends – that’s what I call fun!”

Excited guests descended on the famous KwaMashu township in Durban to witness the traditional ceremony of the acting legend, who is also known as MaKhumalo, and her long-time love, Skhuthazo Winston Khanyile (40), otherwise known as SK.
