She’s soft-spoken, unpretentious and laidback both on and off the screen. When she arrives at the luxurious Emoyeni Conference Centre in Parktown, Joburg north, it’s hard to spot the difference between the actress and the character she plays in Generations.
In a simple red dress and black ankle boots Xoli Zondi (29) looks much younger than her age.
We’re dying to know whether Xoli is anything like her soapie character, Zodwa. They are similar in some ways, she confesses. “I’m just like Zodwa except that she’s shy and I’m not,” Xoli laughs. “We’re both humble, simple girls with Christian backgrounds and we’re also both big dreamers.”
