President Jacob Zuma arrived in New York for the 67th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the office of the presidency said on Sunday.

Spokesman Mac Maharaj said the president would address the assembly on Tuesday.

South Africa would pursue a number of policy objectives on the UN agenda including peace in the Middle East, the reform of international institutions as well as the global financial crisis, said Maharaj.
